These are by far the best shock Monroe makes .my friend who runs a Goodyear shop suggested these as they are the best shock .GREAT RIDE.you cant go wrong with this shock LOVE the ride .replaced both rear shocks and replaced both front struts with the quick strut assembly.its better than when the vehicle was brand new.on the 2005 equinox you have to remove plastic inner fender well to get to the top bolt.and take off tire.the plastic holders that hold the fender well in are easy to remove if you do it right.there is a small plastic pin that holds the retainer in just take a small screwdriver and find the one of 2 notches on the inner tab .pry out one side at a time until pin comes out .a retainer tool used to remove door panel retainer works great to remove these.dont try to pry out the whole retainer before removing inside pin or you will be going to the part store to get new retainers.the are not cheap if you have to replace all of them.otherwise very easy to do about 30 minutes or less to do each shock .most of the time is removing inner fender well.Not nearly as high quality as the OEM shocks they replaced but for the price you can't beat them. A huge shout out to Firestone who's lies and poor business ethics is why I replaced perfectly working shocks. Shame on you.06 Equinox.
