This boat is fast! It works well, I highly suggest getting an actual lipo charger from the hobby store so that it cuts the charging time down to like 20-30 mins! The graphics are cool but are very low quality. They are crooked and not completely flat before applied. The battery hold down is a major issue with 2 velcro straps that you can't reach. I had to stuff the battery well with some high density foam, which worked just fine! Otherwise I had a blast with thing. Iv driven other boats and for the price, I dig it! The battery will last for about 12 minutes but takes hrs to charge. The operating range isn’t that far. And it doesn’t self right!! However, it does skip across the water. It is faster than a lot of boats in the same price range.Built a little cheesy but still lots of fun!The boat flat moves! We have had a blast running it. Have had it out 15-20 times and have not had any issues.Battery life is great - Our 15 year old boys run it flat out and still get 10-15 + minutes of hard use. Bought a second battery and just swap it out and keep running. Have not had any overheating - cleared the water cooling tube 1x when some pond scum was blocking it a bit (hot sure I needed to but I did).The boat flips over - but the self righting works fine.Drive line - based on a couple of the reviews, this was a concern of mine - Checked an line and saw a recommendation to pull and lube the shaft after every use... I do this before I put the boat in the water each time/weekend we are at the cabin - but NOT after each use. Have been using the boat pretty consistently for about a year and have had no issues.Was a little unsure after reading a couple of the reviews - we do not have an RC shop close enough to just run over and ask the staff about/pick one up but decided to take the plunge after trying some of the smaller and cheaper boats out there. We were a bit concerned that this might not be the best boat after reading a few of the reviews, but we took the time to google some of the issues and saw what we thought were reasonable responses/fixes and everything seems to be working fine after 10-12 uses.Don't try this in a pool , no matter how big the poolThis thing screams and turns in a dime. Battery life and charge time is my only complaint, but batteries can be swapped for larger capacity.Okay, you can get this way discounted but with huge wait time. As far as the product goes, even at the Amazon price you are getting exactly what you pay for. Compared to much higher end items in the same class, it represents. First run in choppy waters at Twin Lakes, Colorado, she flew. Maybe not as fast as some way higher end and much more expensive craft, unbelievably quick and turns on a dime with satisfactory spray. Water cooling is actually doing its job, amd the sheer power for price point is unbelievable. Bow slap is audible through the chop, and she can catch air through her own wake. Battery life is decent, but recharce times are cringe worthy. Maybe this is good since inner hull temps are out of control after 2 batteries. Really a great recreational purchase if you dont want to Grand down for a bigger and faster boat, and why not at sub 300. Dry it out when you are done as water does and will accumulate in the hull after skipping through the spray. So fun for the bucks. And anything in this price class besides this will leave you dissapointed. Happy sailing!
